Her background in theatre and obsession with science fiction (dating from childhood) feed darkly comedic imagined worlds. Equally active as a free improvisor, new music soloist, and chorister, she is comfortable lending her voice to settings ranging from early Franco-Flemish polyphony to noise and psychedelic rock. He maintains his personal style characterized by space, clarity and decisiveness in all the different contexts he plays in. His work ranges from gamelan-like experiments with tuned sticks and pieces of wood, via site-specific interventions with movers and other musicians, to full-on free improvisation or composed pieces. He toured extensively in the US and Europe, and created scores for dance and film.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/benbrownsounds.com\/\">http:\/\/benbrownsounds.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1A9aypZ2Wbw\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1A9aypZ2Wbw<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/benbrownsounds.bandcamp.com\/\">https:\/\/benbrownsounds.bandcamp.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sound artist and improviser, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kelex.james\"><b>Kelly Jayne Jones<\/b><\/a> works with sonic textures from her sound archive that is constantly evolving. Inspiration is taken from the recording of concrete sounds, building up compositional balance \/ unbalance, harmony \/ disharmony and experimenting with the combinations of sounds. She is part of the duo Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides. She has performed at Colour Out of Space, Tusk, Cafe Oto, Supersonic, ICA London and has exhibited work in various projects at Tate Modern, Museum of Modern Art NY, dOCUMENTA 13. He takes a physical approach to guitar playing, employing objects and extended techniques to explore new sonic possibilities. His music draws from influences as diverse as noise and drones, North Indian ragas, experimental rock, and everyday sounds. With free improvisation he brings these together into an intense, loosely structured, chaotic mesh that is bathing in the rays of a deep red sun.
