////////////// ’20 Guilders’ – Cosmic Acid folk scenestars Suzuki Junzo and Mitsuru Tabata from Tokyo (JP).
Mitsuru Tabata’s musical career is as bright and unusual as the musician himself, involved in the dawning of BOREDOMS, ZENI GEVA, and ACID MOTHERS TEMPLE all legendary bands and gems of Japan’s avant-garde. Suzuki Junzo, known for his celestial guitar solos and from the group MIMINOKOTO with releases on PSF, joins Tabata together to form their duo 20 GUILDERS. Since 2007 they have been exploring their common roots – Psych Rock and Psych Folk, with guitars and vocals.
In Japan, the duo has two studio album releases from GYUUNE CASSETTE, as well as running a label Gulden Muzik. In US, they release LPs and cassettes from labels such as Nod and Smile Records, Eye Vibe Records. The duo’s first instrumental guitar ambient album “il grande silenzio” was released from Gulden Muzik in 2018. Apart from their signature songs, the duo performs in experimental sets with their ambient guitar music. In April 2019 they released an acoustic studio live album, “Acoustic Motherfuckers.” The electric and cosmic folk duo sets out on their first international tour May 2019.
