Daniel L. Lythgoe

Daniel L. Lythgoe is an artist, architect, and musician whose compositions integrate sonic, spatial, and visual elements to explore the acoustic and social dynamics of anthropogenic and technological environments.
Working with spatial audio, multichannel video, and extended notation techniques, he creates immersive performances, interactive sound sculptures, and site-specific installations that investigate the interplay of sound, architecture, and perception. Recent projects include performances and fixed compositions that blur the boundaries between art and architecture.
Daniel holds a master’s degree in architectural design from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and studied Sonology at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, as well as Media Arts and ArtScience at HfG Karlsruhe and KABK Den Haag, respectively. Places where he has performed or his work been shown include (among others): West Museum and Amare (Den Haag, NL), ZKM (Karlsruhe, DE), Národní dům (Ústí nad Labem, CZ) and Nova (Antwerp, BE).
